father's day

alex had a fun-filled week. she went to taekwondo a lot this week and is learning all her pieces and parts toward her next belt tip. she had her first summer camp field trip this week to Pump It Up. that's the one she was most excited about. that and the fact that they're field trip shirts are green. on friday, alex went to school with john and helped him hand out awards and checked out the big drums. they followed that up by a nice day at the park and ice-cream. alex did discover (or decided) that she likes some new foods this week including fajitas, salsa and white rice. at least that's different than chocolate and hot dogs! on sunday, father's day, alex and john spent a lot of the morning at the river with their friends having a picnic and hiking and fishing - they had a blast. and she got to see both her cousins this weekend, which she always enjoys.
