back to school

she's a 2nd grader now. alex went back to school on thursday. she likes her new teacher and knows several kids already in her class and she said she made new friends as well. she told me this morning that she loves the beginning of the school year best because all her school supplies are fresh and new and everything is just beginning. i imagine homework starts today too. it was a hot weekend, we spent some time in the backyard with the inflatable pool. she rode her bike a lot and even started doing loop-de-loops in driveways - which is new for her. she did some crafting and sketching and sewing this weekend. and some reading. now to get back on track with homework and making lunches and nightly activities and open houses at school and soon soccer will start and theater. busy days ahead.
