flu shot, clam bake and mapleside farm

it was a busy week and weekend. alex helped all week in taekwondo, which meant double classes most every night. she's also prepping for her brown belt test coming up. friday night, i took alex to the minute clinic to get her flu shot. we usually have such good luck on a friday night, but not this time. we waited two and a half hours to get her flu shot!! wow, she did not get to eat dinner until 8:30 at night, my goodness. she was good and patient though and we got it done. saturday was a rainy day. all the soccer games were cancelled because of rain - and it was extremely cold. the clam bake for john's work got moved to the school because of the rain. i got to see john's office for the first time. the clams were delicious (although alex got one and said she liked it and john didn't get any - they were having trouble getting the clams out to people so we only got one bag and it was late and time to go by then.) on sunday, we went to mapleside farm for the pumpkin village. i had just been there for my work earlier in the week (which was great since it was only open to us and we didn't have to wait in line for that big slide.) when we went on sunday it was princess and superhero day and the weather was really nice and the place was packed. lines everywhere. we got to enjoy the cow train and the slide once and alex jumped on the pillow. we got some nice pictures as well.
