john was on a fishing weekend so alex and i were alone for girls weekend! it was a pretty normal week for alex and activities and lots of homework. it rained a lot though so both soccer practice and her game were cancelled. which was actually kind of nice since the game was scheduled for the middle of the day making it hard to plan around. we actually got a lot of stuff done: we went grocery shopping (alex knows her way around the store better than i do) and she worked on her homework for hours and i sewed and ran laundry and all that jazz. we made food and watched some netflix. uneventful, but productive. on sunday, AG had a friends and family day that alex and i went to. there was a scheduled tour - although you could only go in certain parts of the building so she really didn't get to see anything she wanted to see, but she did a scavenger hunt and we went and had some pictures taken in front of a green screen. the lines for the balloon artist were so long and the food was hot dogs and cookies so we bailed and went to the cheesecake factory! that was nice, we had yummy food and took home cheesecake :)
