it was thanksgiving break and we went down to cincinnati again to visit grandpa jerry and uncle john. we went over to aunt mary and uncle jim's for thanksgiving dinner. alex had more than her share of noodles and rolls - she didn't even make room for any turkey. and aunt mary had bought special cupcakes for the kids. my second cousins, jonah and carolyn were there; alex had fun playing with them. on black friday we made our yearly visit to the gap clearance center. we did pretty well. john found more than he usually finds (the mens section is usually lacking); i edited myself but found some really good deals including some sweaters, yay; and alex's main goal was to find some jeans which she got several plus other clothes and some great slippers. saturday we came home in the rain and proceeded to do laundry and such. on sunday, we went out to petitti gardens to visit santa. mrs. claus was there too. the place was decorated really nice. santa and mrs. claus both really liked alex's red boots - mrs. claus told santa that she wanted a pair for christmas. we followed up santa with a much needed trip to the grocery story (which was packed.) and then we spent the rest of the day cooking and getting stuff done and finished up our christmas decorating. the holiday season has begun.
