it was a full weekend, as usual. we thought we'd have more time on saturday for fun stuff, but alex had so much homework that she did that well into the evening. she and i did go shopping at target on friday night, which alex was really excited for and had a nice time. haha, oh the excitement of target on a friday night! saturday morning, alex went with john to home depot to get supplies and helped him build two raised bed boxes. they still need to be planted, but the boxes look great and will do a wonderful job. then there was homework, homework and more homework. on sunday, alex was supposed to have a double header for lacrosse, but one of the teams misunderstood the schedule and she ended up with only one game. she played a lot of offense and is learning the game. later we went over to bopey and norm's to celebrate john's birthday. they had fried chicken and i made two kinds of brownies. we're about a month out from the end of school and homework seems to be ramping up. alex is supposed to have two lacrosse games this week, but the forecast is calling for a lot of rain so we shall see.
